OUR STORY
The building at Schwere-Reiter-Straße 39 is part of the historically significant Prince Leopold Barracks in the Schwabing-West district of Munich. Named after the commander of the 1st Heavy Cavalry Regiment, the barracks served as a cavalry barracks for the Bavarian Army from 1902. The complex was newly constructed in a representative Neo-Baroque style, reflecting the military importance and architectural ambitions of the period.
The Prince Leopold Barracks were planned and built by the architects Georg Zeiser and Beetz. The extensive complex comprised several squadron barracks, riding halls, and administrative and service buildings, and once provided accommodation for nearly 1,000 people. This made the facility one of the most modern barracks of its era and one of the last major military construction projects before the First World War.
Large parts of the barracks complex have been preserved to this day and are listed as historical monuments. The former barracks building at Schwere-Reiter-Straße 39 also retains its historical character. Defining elements such as the articulated facade with its pilaster-like decoration, the striking projecting sections, and the mansard roofs still lend the building its distinctive architectural identity and historical depth.

In close consultation with the heritage preservation office, the building at Schwere-Reiter-Straße 39 underwent comprehensive renovation and was carefully transformed into a contemporary living space. The aim was to preserve the historical fabric while simultaneously creating modern living comfort of the highest standard. The result is a unique place where history and contemporary architecture exist in harmony.

Ranging from 28 m² to 90 m², the apartments are high-quality, fully furnished, and stylistically inspired by 5-star hotel suites – combined with the individuality and comfort of a private home. The complex also offers 42 underground parking spaces and 13 outdoor parking spaces, ensuring convenient parking.
SRS Apartments' residential concept is specifically designed for managers, executives, engineers, and IT specialists working temporarily in Munich. The location is also a major plus! Schwabing is synonymous with culture, entertainment, and a relaxed lifestyle. Famous cultural institutions, the Olympic Park, and the English Garden are all nearby, offering numerous leisure activities.
The infrastructure is perfect. Whether supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, doctors and pharmacies, bakeries, etc., you will find everything you need for daily life here.
Thanks to its convenient location with tram and bus stops in the immediate vicinity, surrounding employers are easily accessible. Here in Schwabing, work and attractive leisure activities can be ideally combined.
The main train station and airport are only 15 and 30 minutes away by car, respectively. Excellent connections to the Mittlerer Ring (Middle Ring Road) and the A8 (Stuttgart/Salzburg), A9 (Nuremberg/Leipzig/Berlin and A3 Frankfurt am Main/Cologne), and A92/A93 (Regensburg/Passau) motorways offer the possibility of reaching regional and national destinations quickly and comfortably by car, without having to drive through the entire city center.
